SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS
The Company installs surveillance cameras outside, and sometimes inside, its delivery vehicles. These installations are intended to optimize delivery route efficiency and ensure the safety of people and the protection of Company property. Installation and use of video surveillance cameras comply with the Private Sector Privacy Act, the Civil Code of Québec, and the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. Use of video recordings is strictly limited to verification or investigation following an incident or event and is strictly controlled by internal safeguards.
Recordings may be viewed, used, or retained for purposes such as:
Ensuring the protection and safety of employees driving delivery vehicles, as well as road users and Company property;
Optimizing customer service;
Monitoring risky driving behavior and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, including the Highway Safety Code;
Documenting incidents involving traffic accidents or complaints from clients or third parties, and assisting in defending our employees and the Company in case of litigation;
Supporting investigations in case of incidents or accidents involving our delivery vehicles;
Evaluating employee driving behavior for prevention and training, with the goal of reducing risks and preventing road accidents.
